FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What equipment will I need to provide for you?

I will need 2 chairs and a small table (around 4 feet long)*

*I can bring my own table if you are unable to provide one.

What are your sanitation practices?

I clean and sanitize all my tools after each event. I sanitize each brush on the job as well, using an organic, skin-safe brush cleanser after each face I paint. I do not use the same sponge on multiple faces.

Can you paint people who are wearing masks?

Yes I can! I have many designs that can be painted above a mask.

On what days are you available to face paint?

I am available on Sundays only.

How much do you charge?

I charge $$115 for an hour, $225 for two hours, and $335 for three hours. Please note that an additional $10 will be added to the first hour of the face paint booking for each additional 15 minutes of driving beyond a 10 mile radius.

How many faces can you paint per hour?

The number of faces I can paint in an hour ranges from 10 to 17, depending on the size and amount of detail I add to each design. When I know the number of guests to be painted at an event, I will gauge the amount of time I should spend on each design and paint accordingly.

What face paint do you use? Is it safe for people with sensitive skin?

My face paint is safe for sensitive skin. It is a cosmetic, formulated for use on skin, and contains anti-bacterial and anti-microbial ingredients. My face paints are hypo-allergenic and gluten-free.

What about glitter?

I use cosmetic glitter. It is important to differentiate between cosmetic glitter and craft glitter because craft glitter is dangerous to use on skin. Craft glitter is made of materials such as glass or metal, and is often cut roughly which can be harsh on the skin and can damage the eyes. Craft glitter can also be colored by dyes that contain harmful chemicals that may stain the skin. Cosmetic glitter, on the other hand, is made from acrylic or polyester, usually polyurethane terephthalate (PET), which is a non-toxic plastic. It is cut in specific shapes designed not to scratch the skin. The colors used are FDA-approved, and it is processed with regard to hygiene.
